Ramona Leah Jackson

Ramona Leah Jackson was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 25, 2022. She was born June 25, 1964 Marilyn Ramsey and Shadeed Mumin (George Ramsey) in Hamilton, Ohio.

She was educated through the Hamilton City Schools. She got her associates degree in early childhood education from Cincinnati State. She ran a daycare from 2004 until her death. That was her baby; she loved all children that came through. And they loved her. She also was an State Tested Nursing Assistant for over 20 years prior.

Ramona was a member of Community Friendship Church for many years alongside her husband, Ian (Marty) Jackson. Ramona loved to travel with her husband. She also loved family gatherings and cooking.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Ian (Marty) Jackson; mother, Marilyn Ramsey; sister, Nicole Ramsey; aunts, Ruth Turner, Mattie Freeman, Carolyn Martin, Louise Martin and Pauline Trammell; uncle, William Turner and her paternal grandmother, Addie Ramsey.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her father, Shadeed Mumin; her children, Torre (Tasha) Ellis, Latoya Ellis and Jamell Cavanaugh; sisters, Carol (Charlie) Ponder, Jenny Ramsey and Ronneka Johnson; brothers, Amir Yasin Sharif, Ahmad Sharif, Shadeed (Francine) Sharif, Nafis (Natasha) Sharif and Elamin Bilal (Angela) Sharif; stepmother, Ziyaadah Mumin; grandchildren, Kelis Jones, Donovan Smiley, and Ajulan Thomas; aunts Ruby Willis and Joyce Thomas; nieces, Ebony Ponder, Nicole Ponder, Charisse Ponder, Latrice Ponder, Stephanie Luster, Leasha Mullins and Aveeona Johnson; great nieces, Nijuah Ponder, Ni'Aree Ponder, Ny'Airah Seymore, Nionnah Ponder, Ni'Desha Reese and Nyla Reese; nephew, Stephon Luster; her one and only great nephew who she adored, Mysone Jordan and a host of friends and other relatives
