Margaret Laverous Moore

Our journey to eternity begins with our very first breath... 

Margaret was born on September 3, 1958, and left us unexpectedly on September 11, 2023, at 65 years old. This loss has created a profound void, most deeply felt by her daughters – Lauren, Aleisha, and Alex – who will always cherish the memories of her unconditional love, unwavering support, and words of encourage-ment. In addition to her daughters she also leaves behind her   stepmother, Patricia Hurd, and siblings —Ruth Hurd, Mary Alice Brown Hurd , JoAnne Allen, and Matthew W. Hurd. 

Born to the late Amanda Mae Thompson and Albert Hurd, Margaret was the youngest of seven children and was raised in the Village of New Miami, OH. Family was always important to her, and she poured this value into creating her own.  

Education was another value of Margaret's. She earned an associate's degree in business administration from Miami University and put her skills to work for over 20 years at Cincinnati Financial Corporation. But if you'd ask her, we'd bet she say that her highest purpose and joy came from caring for her girls.  

Life handed Margaret its share of challenges. She lived with bipolar disorder, and there were two sides to her, but at her core, she was funny, sweet, kind, considerate, generous, and loving.     She also devoutly loved the Lord and would show it through very loud but heartfelt and joyful singing. She gave life her best. And in the end, her best was good enough.  
Margaret's life wasn't always easy. In truth, it became increasingly hard towards the end, which is why we take comfort in knowing that she can now rest forever in ease and peace. Our hearts are also soothed by the thought that she's not alone. She is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings – Alberta Bonner and Julius Hurd – whose spirits undoubtedly welcomed her to her eternal home.
