Marcie Lynn Smith

Marcie Lynn Smith, age 51 received her wings on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on Tuesday, January 28, 1971 in Dayton, Ohio to Billie Smith and the late Charles Harris.

She was employed as a Health Care Aide for over 20 years with Sunrise Assistant Living of Oakwood and Helping Hands Home Care.

Marcie also known as Froot, NeNe, Celie and C was a strong, soft spoken, meek, humble, loving person, who loved spending time with family and friends. With all of her health challenges Marcie never murmured or complained, with her beautiful smile Marcie endured it all. Her favorite past time was shopping at Wal-Mart, spending time with her grandchildren and gossiping with her loved ones, she also loves watching TV, some of her favorites were all things Tyler Perry, P-Valley, 911, Power and The Chi.  She was also an avid book reader.

Marcie leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Billie Smith; ride or die life partner of 36 years Ronnie Lee Bailey, father of her three loving and devoted daughters, Ronnetta, Ronniqua (Mato) and Ronnisha Bailey; stepson, Stanton Bailey; grandchildren, Da’Vionna, Vaughnae, David, Danntrail, Ja’Ceon, Jayce, Ja'Onna, La’Heaven, Jariah, Damaya and My’Onna; sister, Utwilla Smith; aunts, Armon (Robert) Smith, and Patricia Curry; special nephews, Lamar Houston and William Bailey; mother-in law, Lura Bailey; brothers-in-law, James Bailey and Johnathan Howard; sisters-in-law, Margaret and Barbara Bailey; special friends, Kris Jones, Michelle Prater and Hope Walder; honorary son, Devon Taylor, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
