David Alexander Benson, Sr.

David Alexander Benson Sr., a native of Dayton, Ohio was born August 29, 1972 to David and Denise Gibson.  He departed this life into eternal life on Wednesday May 17, 2023.

He received is formal education through the Dayton Public Schools. Many referred to him as Teeter, Teet or T-Bone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Denise Gibson; grandparents, Calvin Sr. and Nannie Benson; two sisters, Katina and Shatawn Benson; uncle, Norvell Benson; aunt and uncle, Debbie and Eddie Bush and his stepson, Derrick Fletcher.

David is survived and will be missed by: his companion of 25 years, Michelle Hicks; sister, Donyelle Benson; his children, Davion (Mikeya) and Sharonda Ivery Sr., David Jr. and Diallo Benson, Darnell Cavitt- Benson, Takeya Clemons; his stepchildren, De’Vion Hicks and Derius Fletcher; bonus son, Zsavy; 7 grandchildren, Davion Ivery Jr., Mari’Yion Ivery, Ke’Anhiona Ivery, Jamarr Evans, Bri’Onn and Bri”Yll Walker and Peace Kai Benson; aunt, Kimberly Benson; uncles, Stephan, Calvin, Brian and Eric Benson along with a host of other family including nieces , nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.

David touched the lives of so many people while he was on this earth. David was the life of the party, and he knew how to have a good time. His hobbies included partying, watching true crime shows, listening to music and spending time with his family.

David will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
